She was born in 1973 in Istanbul. She graduated from Beşiktaş Atatürk High School in 1989. Afterwards, she graduated from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa School of Medicine in 1995.
She completed her duty in Ağrı Diyadin Central Health Center No 2 with two commendations. She started the assistantship at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospita Skin and Venereal Diseases Clinic in 1997. She became a specialist in 2001, started to work as a Chief Assistant in the same hospital in 2002 and continued until 2009. She became an associate professor in 2007.
In 2005, University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, along with Prof Keyvan Nouri on skin cancers, surgery and nevus follow-up; in 2006, Baylor Hair Research and Treatment Center, Dallas, along with Prof David A Whiting on hair diseases; in 2007, Hair and Nail Clinic, Department of Dermatology, University of Bologna, together with Prof Antonella Tosti on hair and nail diseases; in 2008 she worked on hair diseases with Prof Ulrike-Blume Peytavi at the Clinical Research Center for Hair and Skin Science, Department of Dermatology and Allergy Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
She was assigned to reopen Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital Dermatology Clinic in 2009-2011 and worked as a deputy chief for two years.
While working in government institutions, she worked simultaneously as part-time in a private clinic, hospital and laser center between 2002-2011. She left the civil service in 2011 and started working at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital.
In 2011-2014, she completed her master’s degree in the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Graz with hybrid training in the field of Master of Science in Dermoscopy and Preventive Dermatooncology. In 2013, Dermatooncology Unit, Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Vienna, she worked in the field of skin cancers, especially melanoma, and dermoscopy alongside Prof Harald Kittler.
She started to work as a professor at Maltepe University, Department of Dermatology in 2017, and was appointed as the head of the department in 2020.
She left Memorial Health Group in 2022 and started to work in her private practice in Ataşehir.
